I have drawn for as long as I can remember. Always happiest when I'm creating something. Not just drawings and tattoos, I'm a real maker.
With my drawings, pretty much anything can inspire me; a few lines from a song, something somebody said, the way I'm feeling at a particular moment, or nature.
With my tattoos, I try to keep exploring new topics and styles. Lately, my work has become more illustrative and storytelling which feels very true to me.
I like to convey something in a visual, slightly bizarre way. A short story, with a character with lots of personality, a memory. All while trying to keep things a bit fantastical or surreal. Out of place maybe. To me, that adds a bit of melancholy or duality. It also keeps the character suspended in its own world.
People usually interpret my work in many different ways. That's what I love about drawing these surreal worlds. It leaves things open to the imagination.
I always love to hear what people see in my work, and what it means to them. It tells you a lot about a person because a drawing is like a mirror. What you see comes from within you and your personality and experiences.
